Newtown Ambulance EMS Subscription?
An EMS (Emergency Medical Services) subscription is a voluntary annual membership that helps protect you from out-of-pocket costs if you ever need ambulance services.
​
When you call 911 and require emergency transport, your insurance may not cover the full cost of the service. An EMS subscription helps cover those remaining balances—giving you added financial protection and peace of mind.
Our Story
Since 1952, the Newtown Ambulance Squad has proudly served our community with a team of dedicated volunteer and career paramedics and emergency medical technicians. In 2023 we started operating our Upper Makefield sub-station located in the Upper Makefield Fire Department building.
It is the mission of Newtown EMS to provide skilled and caring pre-hospital care to the victims of illness and injury to all in our community. It is our mission to provide our service through collaboration and cooperation with other local, regional, and Statewide agencies and continuously improve upon the service we provide. Newtown EMS personnel will respond with urgency, empathy, and proficiency to care for our residents and visitors keeping the patient at the center of everything we do.​

The Newtown Ambulance Squad is guided by a dedicated leadership team whose collective experience, advanced training, and unwavering commitment to the community form the backbone of our organization.

Our five officers and supervisors bring decades of combined service to their roles, each holding certifications across the full spectrum of emergency medical care. Their qualifications reflect not only the high standards we hold as a squad, but the trust our community places in us every time we respond to a call.

Our Current Equipment

Providing exceptional emergency medical care begins with having the right equipment. Newtown EMS maintains a modern fleet of Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, specialized response vehicles, and advanced medical technology to ensure our clinicians are prepared for every emergency.

Our ambulances are equipped with lifesaving tools, including advanced cardiac monitors, airway equipment, emergency medications, and trauma supplies—allowing our paramedics and EMTs to deliver high-quality care from the moment they arrive.

Newtown EMS continually invests in our fleet and medical equipment to provide Newtown residents with safe, reliable, and compassionate emergency medical care - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.​​​​
