About Newtown EMS
Serving Our Community Since 1952
For more than 70 years, Newtown Emergency Medical Services (Newtown EMS) has proudly provided compassionate, professional emergency medical care to the residents and visitors of our community.
Founded in 1952, Newtown EMS has grown from a volunteer ambulance service into a modern EMS organization providing advanced life support, emergency medical response, community education, and public outreach. Every day, our dedicated team of EMTs, paramedics, supervisors, volunteers, and support staff is committed to one mission—delivering exceptional patient care whenever it is needed.
Whether responding to a medical emergency, participating in a community event, or teaching lifesaving skills, we are honored to serve our neighbors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
More Than Emergency Response
While emergency response is at the heart of what we do, Newtown EMS is also committed to strengthening the community we serve.
Throughout the year, our personnel participate in community education programs, CPR and First Aid training, public safety demonstrations, school outreach, health fairs, community events, and fundraising initiatives.
